I have made these articles short, and easy to understand and remember,
because I want to help you to become as healthy as you can be. My goal
is to help you to gradually change your lifestyle from the typical
unhealthy way of living, to one of health, so you will actually get
healthier as you get older, just as I have done at age 63. It is important at the outset of these articles to establish my
credibility, under the covering of humility and gratitude to my
Creator. This is not boasting, but telling you who I am, so you can
judge my level of credibility.
Clomid (Clomiphene)
After all, you, the reader,
would like to know if Dr. Ted "practices what he preaches" and what
have been the results. It is also important that you know my age,
because my age makes a big difference in my credibility and how much
you, the reader in your 40s or 50s, identify with me and what I teach.
I am 63 years old at this time (September, 2002). I was born in 1938 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
In
the profession of healthy living, the older I get, the greater is my
credibility. To express it in mathematical terms, my credibility is
directly proportional to my age. That is, as my age increases, so does
my credibility because I am actually living it in superb health. I have
the health and body of a college athlete. I don't get sick any more and
I'd like to impart the same to you, over the next three years. I have
not lived a "quick fix" but gradual changes, and that's what I teach
and impart.
I used to get two colds each year
which dragged on for two weeks, with sleepless nights, runny nose, sore
throat and grogginess from "night-time cold medicines". I had adult
acne, dandruff and dental problems. I thought these were "normal" and
happened to everyone because I watched the TV and magazine ads. Now I
know better, after studying health, nutrition and exercise for 30 years
and gradually changing my lifestyle for 23 years.
My
education at the University of Virginia was a pre-medical B.A. in
Experimental Psychology in 1960 and then two years of Medical School.
At the University of Delaware, I earned my M.A. in Sensory Physiology
in 1965 (electrical and chemical functioning of our five senses) and
Ph.D. in Neurophysiology in 1968 (electrical and chemical functioning
of the brain and nervous system, including experimental neurosurgery).
But I learned about health on my own, from books and magazines, just as
I'd like to help you to do, so as you get older , the healthier you
will become, just as I've done. I give you HOPE for a healthier future
as you gradually change your life.
It
is also my opinion, from 40+ years of studying health matters and from
my personal observations, that 90 - 95% of the common adult diseases
are contracted by overweight people.
Future articles will
give you specific lessons about what to do to improve your health; but
for now, I want to impart HOPE to you ... hope that there is a
healthier future for you, no matter what your condition or age. If you
are well enough to read this article, or to listen to someone reading
it to you, then you are sufficiently alive and capable of helping
yourself, as the staff of iBHealth teaches you & encourages you to
eat healthy food, to do small amounts of exercise, and to realize that
your health depends on your choices, and we will help you to make them.
We bring you this HOPE. |
