1. Who is the iBHEALTH?
Network History
The iBHEALTH Network is a subsidiary of the Internet Broadcasting
Association - iBA. Funding
for initial construction and implementation of the network came
from the iBA Board of Trustees.
The iBHEALTH Network occupies a scalable section of the iBA for
hosted activities and maintains a secure database center within
the Novasoft Systems
space. The programming, design and functions of the network have
been provided by EXPOSION
and represent those systems that optimize Internet Broadcasting.
Sponsors
The primary sponsor of the iBHEALTH Network is the iBA
Board of Trustees, with several iBA Founding Sponsors contributing
to the development and implementation of the network.
In 1999, the iBA Trustees and Founding Sponsors, EXPOSION
and Novasoft Systems began
crash testing Internet Broadcasting Systems of database transaction
monitoring, primarily in the Internet Pay-for View, desktop and
cable television Internet integration, and scalable online interactive
services. In 2000, a third Founding Sponsor of the iBA. Bowles-Langley
Technologies, inc., presented some of the alertness and cognitive
reasoning testing platforms to the iBA Trustees as possible vehicles
for online alertness and memory testing services.
Research in the disease-free and health care living communities
revealed there was regulation (HIPAA) ahead
for the doctor's offices (Deadlines for registration are upon the
medical industry and penalties for noncompliance started incurring
October 16, 2002), requiring every doctor's office to maintain secure
patient records.
In 2001, the iBA Trustees adopted the construction of the iBHEALTH
network as a funded project of the Board. Founding Sponsors, EXPOSION,
Novasoft Systems and Bowles-Langley, established licensing and functional
relationships to own and operate the online service centers (those
providing HIPAA Compliant Online Medical Records Services and those
providing the Personal Short-term memory and mental fitness monitoring
services) while the iBHEALTH network itself would build a positive
cash flow enterprise.
In 2002, trustees and sponsors supervised the network construction.
Once completed, each area of the network was tested: hosting,
security, transaction centers, community building, news and publication
platforms, and enterprise modeling. Although several of the
areas of the network have been functional and online since 2001,
the official "Opening Day" of the iBHEALTH network will
be January 1, 2003.
Privacy and e-mail Policies
The iBHEALTH Network and each affiliate of the network are required
to conform to the Internet Broadcasting Association's Code of Ethics
and Protection of Online Privacy Resolutions.
The network will never send any e-mail message to anyone without
his or her prior permission and any e-mail being sent will have
a valid "unsubscribe" mechanism. The Network will
never buy, sell, or trade address lists. Your privacy is one of
our main concerns.
Areas of commercial transactions, which the network controls, will
follow the Internet Broadcasting Association's Commercial Enterprise
Exchange Standards and Practices and conduct legal online transactions
with obligations of security and protection of all parties rights,
privacy and privileges allowable.

2. Publication Channels
The iBHEALTH Newsroom functions as
a hub for health care and medical news and information dissemination.
The network produces content each day. Affiliates do likewise, some
destined for their community, some submitted into the network's newsroom
operations.
Newsroom - Daily Health Edition and Archives
The Newsroom is the online equivalent to a daily newspaper. Visitors
are greeted with a monthly theme, and daily articles which support
this theme or other subjects that particular community had an interest
in. Visitors and community members can also submit content for publishing
in one or more newsrooms. This content is approved and edited by the
iBPublishing staff and then are distributed to the appropriate communities
Publishing Operations
Coming soon, electronic booklets
and special reports produced by the network, its affiliates,
sponsors or authors who are represented by the network can be downloaded
from this store in iBPublishing and through the related Community
newsrooms.
The network will generally offer a free iB-Book, to encourage visitors
to subscribe to the monthly, condensed e-mail version of the Daily
Health Edition content in a monthly digest. The network will act
as the publisher of content, marketing and administering the download
and distribution of the content and generating royalty payments
for the owners of the content.
As research documents, reports and paid subscription publications
gather in this publishing area, sections of free content and pay-for-download/subscription
publications will be available. The network will produce some of
this content/service and the affiliates are encouraged to submit
material.
